Hello Folks: I worked on the cabinet doors this week-end. I got the other four cabin cabinet doors made up and poly on them. I installed the two galley cabinet doors. I think they turned out alright... I ran out of daylight and I was not able to install any of the cabin cabinet doors. I will need to change the power center hinges for satin nickel ones like the cabinet door hinges. I have so much silver there, it would look better if all of them were silver.

This is the part I don't care for because it is so tedious. I will work on the inside doors this week when I have time to. ;)

Take Care...
Johnny D.

Looking great Johnny. I think you are right about changing out the hinges. Would look better unified. Looking forward to seeing it at cabelas.

Debbie & Randy: I still have some time to get it looking like it is finished. I know it will be "FUN" at the Cabela's show. :o

Cliff: Hey Dude, Thanks a lot. It's nice to hear from you. You will be camping before you know it. I will comment on your build in your thread, OK?

Sharon: Thank You, Young Lady... I never did get a chance to meet you at the "Dam Gathering" in May. You were never around your pop-top. I was looking forward to the grand tour. Well maybe next year.. :worship:

Thanks, Johnny. I missed you too! I was at my camper most of the time at the Dam Gathering. I must've just zigged when you zagged!

Hi Johnny, I really like those satin nickle hinges too, very nice touch. You sure must be proud of your Silver Nugget sir! :applause: I'm hoping to get mine done for Cabela's but if not I'll still be there to cheer everyone on.

Cheers,

Dave

Hey Dave: Thanks for your confidence in my TD. I "am" proud of it. I am no carpenter/cabinet builder. I have learned a lot from this build. I think I did OK for a first timer. We will see what the folks coming Cabela's to have to say. I'm sure most will approve of it.
It shows if you want it, it can be done. ;)

I mounted the two front cabinet doors today. Here are a few pics of them.

I made more progress on Friday and today. First, I got the hinges changed for the power center. They are now silver like the cabinet door hinges in the galley.

I finished up the interior cabinet doors by getting all of them installed.

I installed the rain gutters over the entry doors.

I hooked up my LED back up lights. I just wired them up to switch in the tongue box for now. I plan to change the four wire flat plug to a seven pin RV style connector later on. That way, they will come on when I put the TV in reverse.

I sure hope it is presentable for Cabela's teardrop show this next Saturday. :worship:

Johnny...if that's not presentable enough for Cabela's...then screw Cabelas! You really did a great job on this build. It's awesome....time to bask in it's glory and enjoy! Doug

Doug, Debbie & Cliff: I know sometimes we can be our own worst critic. Thanks for your confidence in my work.
I think it turned out just right. :pictures:

I got everything done I wanted to for our trip out to the Cabela's show yesterday. I installed the front headboard. It is a continuation of the tin ceiling panels I used. It turned out better than I expected. It was liked by those who saw it at the show.
We had a great time. :)

While we were at Cabela's, I took some pictures of the different trailers and their owners. I will post them in the Southwest section under the Reno Cabela's show listing later today. We are going to my niece's wedding this morning.
