I have used it and it works great. I did repeated layers and my Dutch oven is staying very easy to clean.

Funny you should ask, I have spent the weekend cleaning and reseasoning all of my iron. They look great and are really slick so far.

Not since we discovered beeswax. We chase our eggs like the finest nonstick now. 10 times better than any seasoning we've used in the past.

Just make 100% sure you use 100% beeswax, paraffin is often added for cosmetics and candles....

I haven't yet seasoned my cast iron with flax oil but, do put a teaspoon of flax seed meal on my morning cereal.

So Debbie the article I read said to strip them with oven cleaner and then apply oil while hot and put in the oven at 500 for a hour then turn off oven let stand. Is that about what you did ? Looks like a good winter project

More or less But I have an electric stove so I used the self cleaning oven feature and it worked perfectly to unseason. I also did not have access to the oil in a bottle, so I used the capsules and punctured them and squeezed out the oil.

My ci wasn't real hot when I put the oil on. Seemed to still work.
