Well Bob, the thread is still alive and kicking.

I started one as well, and maybe the moderators can blend mine into yours.

In the interest of filling in here.......

I collect all sorts of stuff.

Car number plates/tags from all over the world..... so if you have any, you know where to sen them. 8) 8)

Here is a plate from Cliff Neff or Cliffmeister

I definitely collect tools, mostly older stuff that has little commercial value, but has maximum function.

My wife Nicola collects various things......

Her main collection currently is around Smoking pipes, and tobacco jars. Again, if you have an old, very old smoking pipe, headed for the rubbish, rather redirect it here.

Her pipe collection started with a romantic walk along the Medway river where there used to be many prison ships.... so the old clay pipes were discarded into the river.

During our walk we only found loads of bits.... back at home she started researching and reading up, then the dreaded Ebay came into it....

Now we have lost count of how many pipes she has..... many are over 100 years old.

First day:

These pics taken a long time ago, there are many more now.

One I bought last week in Belgium at a street market for less than 10% of the shop price.

Nicola has also started collecting Victorian Hat pins.

I just took this pic to show it here.

They can range in value from affordable to plain crazy.

Greetings from England.

Rian.

Hoping to get it all done in time.

I try and collect American dollars. My collection is small and as much as I try I am not very good at it :)

I collect Ceramics but have not done it for a while. I go to art shows and pick out the one I most like in the entire show and buy it. Most are modern. So far only one broke.
I also collect from Garage sale Coleman Stoves, my collection is small and I need to get parts to make them run better. Some where I put their phone number?
I also have a large collection of shards of old indian pots from New Mexico
