Is Jan. 4, 2013 to soon for Turkey...again!

Postby len19070 » Sat Dec 22, 2012 7:16 am

My Dad has an Alumni/Class Meeting the first Friday of every month...since 1940!

Theres about 15-18 people show up, I'm the Cook and I thought a Turkey dinner would be a good idea.

Now we don't have a Turkey for Christmas but I know some do.

My question is would a Turkey dinner on Jan. 4 for his meeting be to soon after the Holiday? Are people "Turkied Out" at that Point?

I can always have it for his Feb. meeting.

Thanks in advance.

Happy Trails

Len, most people just love a meal that they don't have to cook and clean
up after. I would go ahead and serve the turkey. If someone wants to bring something different, that's fine, too. You can't please all of the people all of the time!!

Is it possible to get "turkied out?" Anytime someone wants to make me turkey, I'm delighted. Go ahead and serve it!

Funny, you set up the poll to allow choosing up to two options. I voted for both. :D

I voted no.

You could even do a few pieces on the smoker.

We just had a smoked turkey today, and it's always wonderful! :D
