Greetings from the Mojave Desert in So. Cal

Postby uofm_phd » Sat Jan 19, 2013 4:24 am

Hi folks. I'm a brand newbie to the TNTTT forum. I just joined the flock today.
I purchased a 2004 Little Guy 4 wide platform Tear Drop trailer in Sept of 2012. This trailer is very unique. It as a "replica" of SpaceShipOne and is called TearDropOne. I pull it with my "matching" all new 2012 Turbo Beetle. The two together are quite a pairing. I am in the process of updating the trailer in an attempt to make it one of the most modern hi tech tear drops on the planet. I will be unveiling her to the world at the Second Annual TearDrop Time Only Gathering in Lake Perris, CA in March.

Happy motoring

Cliff Miller

Hello neighbor, welcome to the wacky world of teardrop trailers. Staying warm? They say it's supposed to be in the mid 60's all next week. I won't be at Lake Perris in March except to drive thru and say hi to everyone (health issues) but do plan on going up to Shasta to the Dam Gathering the first weekend of May. It's their 20th and is going to be a big one. But hope to meet you before then.

Welcome to the Forum Cliff
Great looking combination you have there!
With the technology available today, I am sure you will be able to add lots of bells and whistles to your cute "Little Guy"
Hope you can come north to the Dam Gathering in May. Would love to see it.
Check out the thread in General Discussion on "Your Favorite Cabin Feature" fo some cool ideas.

Hi Cliff, welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your Li'l Guy, and I look forward to seeing your efforts to produce the most "high tech teardrop on the planet". I gotta warn you though, it might be a mighty steep hill to climb, since there are a whole bunch of folks that have done amazing things to their tears. Nevertheless, I for one, will be anxiously looking for the end result, which I am sure will be impressive. As for me, a cozy bed, a minimal galley and a wooden satelite, feeding a flip-down, Sony plazma TV, is all that I require to provide camping comfort. (I guess a glass of wine around a campfire with a bunch of friendly campers would help). See you there, with bells on.

Good luck on that. As Tech goes it is outdated before it hits the assembly line, and a newer model is out before you get yours installed.

Well how did the unveiling go? Was it so technically advance did the martians come and take it.
How did the cooktop work for you? I was thinking about a small portable one.

The unveiling was cut way too short. We had to rush one of our dogs to the vet first thing Saturday morning. He was having a mild seizure. He's fine now. Otherwise it went well. The induction burner stovetop worked out magnificently.

Say Cliff, are you going to make it out to Mojave Oasis in Newberry springs in a couple of weeks (APRIL 26,27,28)?

Hey Gage. No, this is the first time I've heard of it, so I wasn't planning on it. I have a bowling tournament that weekend.

Glad to hear your pet is ok. I always wondered why people brought their pets with them, and now guess
who is adopting a little puppy this week.
 Ha hahah

Mojave Oasis in Newberry springs ( 26, 27, 28)

Man I’ll be passing that place on my way to visit some old friends in CA for a few days. But sadly it will be
the 23 or 24th. After the visit in CA it is the Dam Gathering followed by a few days in Denver. My poor new
little puppy will think she got adopted by Gypsies.
