Where did you get the track to slide the awning into?
I got that used from my uncle. When I priced it last winter (from Tom's rv near Tampa) it was $3 a foot, but here is the kicker I would have to buy the entire 20' stick. Call around, it is an awning track thingamabob.

If you don't find what you need at the junk yard, Rochford is a pretty reliable supplier for this sort of thing...here' s is a link to their awning rail....then you get the beaded welt that you sew to the awning fabric...

Time for getting ready for Nebraska, nothing like a time crunch to get things done. The black goo is peeling on the the leading edge and the very back. Cleaned it up with a wire brush and reapplied goo.

A drain at the rear most point of the trailer made sense, but in practice not so good. Oh well more fiberglass.

I did check the bearings and brakes. The bearings and brake shoes were fine. I am guessing the electro magnet pulls into the drum, and spreads the shoes apart.

To get to Nebraska on time, I will be leaving Sunday. I will be taking I-90 out of Ritzeville to I-94 at Billings. Staying on 94 till US83 (in N Dakota) then heading south towards Minden. Hope to see some of you nice folks there.

Well I made it to Kansas, on the way back from Nebraska. I brought back my wheels.

I abandoned the axle to the junk man. Only wide enough for a 48" tear, and I was limited on space. Bye axle.

Image

Took a pic of the tyre size, but from the first pic they are not fixable. These are going to be spendy, will motor cycle radials work?

Just wanted to make a little note to people. If you have brakes you have a left and a right. Note the bigger shoe is in the back, smaller in front. The way I remember is Big in Back.. Same as cars with brake shoes.

Nice photo. Fantastic trailer.

Del, I was zipping thru post saw the tires. Try a place called Coker Tire
http://store.coker.com/search.php?mode=search&by_title=Y&by_shortdescr=Y&by_fulldescr=Y&substring=475/500-19&__utma=1.25174826.1251912597.1251912597.1251912597.1&__utmb=1.1.10.1251912597&__utmc=1&__utmx=-&__utmz=1.1251912597.1.1.utmcsr=google|utmccn=%28organic%29|utmcmd=organic|utmctr=coker%20tirees&__utmv=-&__utmk=138633651
This should be the exact page you need for those 5 plys. i was restoring my grandad's 54 Chevy carry all suburban, and it too has the 5 ply tires.
Hope that helps.

This last week end I traveled to Lyden Wa for a Tin Can Tourist rally, and had a wonderful time. I did take pics, but none of my trailer by it self. I was there to visit with new and old friends, and look at their trailers. Here is one with a john wayne western theme. All that stuff is transported in thee 47 tear.

And here is proof I was there.
