KevinGB update 01/23/2012 - getting back to work

Postby kevingb » Fri Jul 02, 2010 10:16 pm

I have been wanting to build a Teardrop for years now... Last year work got in the way, blah blah, sold my petcool.

Well I made the mistake, a friend has 3 teardrops... make a long story short, slept in one on Tuesday night. 450 miles and 3 days later here I am.

................. AND YOU HAVE HELP !!!!

Welcome, and enjoy the build, I trust you will keep your lady in the loop, and involved in the build,

If you look at my build, you will see the evolution of the species

As first Nicola thought it a great idea, then the teardrop took too much time, and she was ready to set it alight with me inside, as she could not envision it.... when the sides went up, she was all over it like a rash, and the trtailer brought us closer than we already were.

Good luck, and please keep us updated.
Greetings from England.

Rian.

Hoping to get it all done in time.

Somehow, that hooks people....loan them one...next thing ya know, it's either sold, or they are building. Have fun, that's what it's about! Doug

back in business. Put the Teardrop on hold to finish college. I'm done... 47hrs in one semester, got to love Online schools.

Picked up 5x10 exterior grade fir and two 4x10 MDO 2s at plywood company in Fort Worth. It cost about $65 more than buying 4x8 sheets from chain lumber stores. I think it was worth the cost to prevent any splicing.

47 hours - wow! Glad to see you've got the degree done and can now work on your teardrop. At your motivation level, you should have it done in time for the Beavers Bend outing at the end of March.

Kevin,

Congratulations on the degree and getting back on the tear drop. Completing a tiny trailer is a lot like earning a degree as well.
Enjoy the journey as well as the destination. :)
