Bad weather in the teardrop stories? Pics?

Postby Eric Adams » Wed Aug 25, 2004 9:42 pm

Anyone have stories and/or pics of the worst weather they have suffered in a teardrop? Snows, rains, thunderstorms, floods, etc?

It was a dark and stormy high.. winds a howling  . But alas the rains subsided and we survived. Mind you Kate had to straddle the river to get some tear cookin done...

The worst nights are when I forget to get the chairs and firewood out of the rain

Its rained about 40% of the time on all our summer campouts as far this year... drat!

Hmmm, A dark and stormy high... Yaa, I've had a few of those, back in the good ol' days. (Can't remember too many details :D )
So, you like folklore, eh?
Have you ever seen a Bigfoot?

Worst was this May when we had the 3 hour thunder and lightning show in the middle of the night. Trees down all around us - power out in areas. Flooding south of us. It was a real mess. Worst storm I've ever been out in. We had the tear under an EZ-UP. Stayed dry and cozy. Had 3 sides on the EZ-Up (tear was 4th wall) and left one of the tear's doors open for air movement. Absolutely awesome. Will always be a vivid memory for us.

The first trip of the year. I have the rest of my trips documented on my web site but this was the worst.

I was looking at some Spamboree pics and one that really tickled me was the one where the guy had a picket fence set up around the trailer like skirting. Kinda looked like a trailer park set-up.
