This shows a brace that was pre-drilled to accept wires passing through it. The wires are 14-gauge copper, single-conductor wires in a 3/16" sheath. I used that because I had a big spool of it. I used a soldering gun to melt paths in the styrofoam insulation and pushed the wires into the channels.
