After months and months of viewing photos of teardrops, I finally came across the one I just love. This is the profile I want to build. I am new to this type of building and although I have some skills I am very scared to start this build. I bought a HF 4 X 8 trailer and the guy who was supposed to weld it together booked on me taking with him my two tires. I am left with a few questions I hope you can answer. I want to replace the axle with a dexter and get two new tires. I do not want a kitchen in mine as I plan on using it to take my two grandkids camping and need the room. I will only be using the trailer to camp on Cape Cod a few times a year. I am a safety nut being a retired nurse.
Question one-As I lost my welder, is it necessary to have it welded or would bolts do?
Question two-Which do I buy first? Tires or Axel?
I have been putting this build off for several months and now that the winter is coming in too fast I probably will only be dealing with the frame and store it until the spring. I want to skin it in aluminum.
