Damn , all the good stuff is in California ! :(

No kidding...

I wish we had a junkyard like that around here... Just think how many more teardrops I could build!

68. Dreaming how you can build more teardrops, and stay within a budget...

69. You are addicted when you are sketching profiles of teardrops on the back of the church bulletin while you are still in church!

70. God knows you are addicted when in your prayers you ask for anything having to do with teardrops.

71. When you search Ebay trying to find an old license plate with the correct sticker on it for your trailer... Huh Cliff?

Dean,
Don't bother me right now. I am tracking a few to the very last minute. I already have the number of plates, and the colors I want. Now I am trying to bid on a few more just to have some to choose from when I get it.

Getting the correct colors, or stickers doesn't seem to be a problem. Try finding a "trailer" correct plate. Especially, if you are not entirely sure that the plates purchased will be accepted at the DMV. So I bought all of them.

What is the correct answer?
1956-62 yellow plates
a. ABC DEF
b. 123 456
c. AB 1234
d. 1AB 1234
e. A 12 1234

I believe I know the answer, but not 100% sure. Or, unsure what will be accepted by the person at the DMV.

If I based it on my past experiences with CA DMV... I'd have to say, "f. None of the above." :R

You know... You could always daisy chain them together and have a way cool vintage wind screen for dutch oven cooking.

If what you say is true, I just bought one pricey wind screen.  To make the question more complex, how do I keep the PTI designation, and still use the YOM plate. I believe there is a PTI sticker that can be issued, that is what someone told me. If I end up making a vintage wind screen for the dutch ovens, all of them will be matching yellow plates, with black letters.

I wonder if the powerful attraction to these small, egglike trailers has anything to do with an unconscious wish to return to the womb (or in the case of those who hatched, the egg). Just a thought.

You stop over your parents' house for a visit and instead of chatting with them, you spend more time rummaging through their cluttered basement for cool old stuff that you can use to accessorize your TTT or TD.

I found the old metal cooler that the family used to haul to the beach. Told Dad that I absolutely must have it. He said ok... "but it's really old you know... that's the first cooler I ever bought after I moved here from Ireland. It might have some rust." Dad's 91...The cooler's from at least the early 60's. [/i]

You start thinking about whether it would be easier to just bring the cat camping in the trailer instead of trying to find people to watch her when you decide to take off on numerous camping trips... And if you did take her... You wonder where to put the litter box....

Depending on how many days the trips are, my dogs are self fed. A food bin, and an automatic watering device maintains a fresh water supply. I have seen the electronic sensored self clearing litter tray for cats. There are feeding systems for cats that run on a timer.

Cliff & Vanessa - I would looove to do that...unfortunately my cat is one of those rare types of cats that loves people and likes attention. If I leave her for more than an overnight she gets "bored"... I'm guessing because she has no one to cuddle up to or talk to her... and finds creative ways to rearrange my dressers and desk and other areas of the house just to let me know she "missed" me. If I have someone go over every so often and pay her some attention she's fine. She's kind of like a puppy that misses it's people and chews their shoes.!

Oh I only wish I could leave my dog home alone for a nite or two. We left last friday nite just for a few hours (which turned into 7 hours) out for dinner and drinks and when we pulled in our driveway the next door neighbors met us as we were unlocking our door to tell us our little Yorkie puppy was howling the entire evening. I was speechless. We recieved this little adorable puppy a month ago as a retirement gift from our best friends. So of course there is no turning back. (we havent had a dog in 25 years) So I guess Roxsy will be joining us on our camping trips.
Marijo and Bill
Oh yea we must be addicted if we are willing to bring the dog.

When your girl friend starts spotting TDs on the road for you.
Or all your girl friend says to you anymore is NO NO NO.

... when you've spent so many thousand hours looking at suppliers, drawing, redrawing and planning, and you're head is so full of stuff, you can't remember what's new, what's old, what you like and waht you don't! :?

When you send out Christmas cards with a picture of your trailer instead of the family picture.
