8*20 Toy Hauler Build

Good luck with the build! I'll be checking in on your progress and once I pull the trigger I'll post as well. This will be my first ever conversion so I'll be using your build as well as some others out here to give me some ideas. You'll have to keep me posted on how the polycore is to work with as far as drilling and cutting just in case I go that route. That polycore does look really good though...

Subscribed! That battery is exactly what I would build if I were replacing the one in the van tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the rest of your build.

Spent some time programming the MultiPlus II and connecting the Cerbo GX and Display. Will be able to monitor the system remotely as well as via the 5in monitor. Also, received the monitor for the JK BMS. Both the Victron Monitor and JK BMS monitor will mount on the outside of the power cabinet.

I should have the time in the next week to get all this assembled as a wall unit to be bolted into a cabinet in the CTC when ready.

BTW, I totally bricked my Multiplus Compact inverter when I set it up by using a 30a fuse instead of a 300a. Turns out you can open a professional account with Victron and download new firmware to upload to the inverter via VE Config. Just an FYI...

Trying to figure out how I want to lay this equipment out for mounting. Needs to be on 24in wide for the closet I plan to build into the CTC.

I have more wiring to do and I have a few DC breakers and an AC junction box to install, but basically, they will mount on the wall in the CTC.

Okay, almost done. Have a few DC breakers to add and the DC to DC converter for charging via my truck alternator. The plan is to just bolt this onto the wall in my CTC. Just need to get that trailer so I can start! A few more weeks I'm told. Waiting for the RV door apparently.

The Cargo Trailer is completed at the factory. I will go get it next week on 11/25. Excited to start the actual build.
Here are a few pics the Salesman sent me. A bit distorted proportionally due to camera lenses, but you can get the feel for it:

Nice looking trailer! I do like the look of the straight axles...give it a more "off-road" stance and ground clearance for tanks. Definitely the way I'm going to go when I order mine. Where did u order it from? I'm going between Plain ol' trailers and trailers2go4less. Do you have any experience with either one of these or who would u recommend? Also, what was the turnaround time?

I am using a Douglas, Georgia dealer named Outlaw Cargo Trailers. My first time using them. The process has been easy, but I'll let you know if they got it right after tomorrow when I take delivery. They used the Diamond Cargo to build it.

Lead time was 6 weeks, but they had to special order a 32" RV door for me which added some time. I am not familiar with the two dealers you have named. Best of luck with your trailer.

Well, I have the Cargo Trailer home. It tows great. I ran it across the CAT scales on the way home and it weighs 3,380 lbs. GVWR is 10,000 lbs, so plenty of margin for build out and cargo. The fun now starts!

Thanks. Looking forward to the build. Will get a lot of use out of it next year as my wife will retire and we plan on hitting the road for months at a time.
