A highly experienced RVer documents the step-by-step build of a custom 8x20 Diamond Cargo toy hauler, designed for off-grid comfort and to accommodate a Harley Davidson Ultra Limited. The project features a robust electrical system with 640Ah LiFePO4 batteries, Victron Energy management, 600W solar, and a 24VDC setup to support high-efficiency rooftop AC. The build also includes large water tanks, on-demand hot water, induction cooking, advanced monitoring, and four-season insulation...

Looking good! I just got those same water fill inlets from Amazon yesterday. I like the fact that you only need to cut 2 smaller holes instead of 1 big rectangle for the other style of rv inlet. Just got my tanks in too so I should be posting some pics on my build thread here soon. Keeping tabs on your build for ideas and inspiration :)

I removed the vent and installed the OutEquip 24VDC 11,000 BTU AC on the CTC yesterday. I'll be applying power today and seeing how it cools. I am not to the stage of installing the ceiling boards, so I will need to drop the trim panel a bit when I do. Mainly what to make sure it works before Amazon 30 day return window closes if I have a problem with it. This should be very efficient good for boondocking if it works as advertised.

Will do. I did run it yesterday and it was running in Eco mode at 490W. Nice cold air.... If this thing is reliable, it is a gamechanger for boondocking. Super quiet and low profile also.

Put the awning on today. 15ft from Vevor. Overall, it seems more robust that the Aleko brand I used on previous build. Instructions stink, but I have installed a few awnings over the years, so didn't really need them. Going to have to pull the trailer off the pad away from myn 6x12 si I can extend it fully.

I watched your last video and I'm wondering f you need a separate penetration for the A/C wiring or can you bring it down in the 14" opening?
Bruce

The wire can come down through the opening inside of the AC , however, I made another penetration because I have several wires to pass inside for Solar, future cameras and etc.. I built a cable gland that I can just add new weatherproof inserts to as needed. I also did not want that cable in the ceiling. I'd rather have access to it.

The ceiling is in. Will finish painting it tomorrow, then finish walls and then start the finish work inside. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I decided not to put the tongue and groove in the ceiling. It was going to be $500 just for the material and the paneling was $120. I decided to paint it a flat black for an industrial look that I think will look good with the white walls and cabinets. We'll see.. just had to cut some costs somewhere and my wife liked that idea.. so I went with it.

All the ceiling wiring is in for the recessed lights and etc. also.

Did you use lauan panels on the ceiling? Also, how quiet is that AC? I had the factory install the AC for me and they installed a Furrion Chill 13.5K and it is LOUD! Guess I'll live with it for a while until I go deaf....then I won't care :p

It is basically Luan. It has a better finish like a birch plywood. I am painting it a flat black... Yes, the 24VDC AC is relatively quiet. Much quieter than a window unit for example. Time will tell if it is reliable

YouTube Video with some details on the ceiling and paneling.

Making some progress..power wall and utility rack being built. I want to have some preliminary power to run lights and Air Conditioning. I should have this done, the framing for the bathroom walls done, and the cabinets mounted on the walls in the next few days.

I see you dropped some coin and got the blue stuff. Buy once and cry once I always say. ;)

P.S. Pulled the trigger on the Outequip A/C.

Yes, I decided to go with the Victron equipment. This trailer will get some use and I am going all electric, so I want.equipment I can rely on. Victron is the standard.

Let me know how your OutEquip AC works. Mine works fine..Jury is out on reliability until I get some time with it. The install is straight forward, but the 4 long screws that hold in the control panel are a PIA to get in. Use a flashlight to spot the mating holes through the vents. Patience is required. Best wishes.

This black ceiling is starting to grow on me. I think it looks good with the ceiling light contrast.

These new compressor fridges are so efficient. 4.3CU Ft including freezer and runs less than 55 watts. Amazing.
