Hi all in Andy a 50 something dude from the UK.
I know alot of you here have cars and RVs to pull trailers and the like but how many of you have considered pulling a tiny camper with a motorcycle? I know the rules for doing so are very different here in the UK compared to your rules in the states.
I've actually pulled small trailers with a motorcycle before but mainly to haul camping gear and the occasional small engined motorcycle 😀. I'm now contemplating a trailer capable of living in, at least for short periods of time at least. The rules here for such build are strict: cannot be more than 8'2" long from spindle of motorcycle towing it, cannot be more than 8'2" in height ( why would you want it that high??) Cannot be more than 3'2" in width and cannot weigh more than 331lbs fully laden. So you see i have a very difficult task to perform. It is possible to do it ( i 🤔) I just have to think outside of the box to get it done.
I'm proposing to make the thing expanding. I'm not sure which way to expand at this time but I'll figure it out I'll try to document my build as I go along but im not that good with tech. Hopefully I can get help here and also help others build something similar.

Is hard sides a requirement? If not, I've seen some low profile fold out tent MC trailer designs.

Since the length is a bit limiting (would need some tongue length)... If the frame length is kept to 6ft, Then if there were two 3ft panels on top, each hinged on opposite sides. When each one is flipped out would get ~6ftx9ft floor to work with. Just brainstorming.
