Adhesive for external trim?

I discovered some embossed aluminum "coil stock" that I forgot I had laying around. Thinking about slicing it into about 4" wide strips, and adding a beltline trim to my tear.
Exterior gloss enamel over 1/2" plywood. Aluminum is a small diamond-embossed texture with a natural aluminum finish.

Any suggestions as to an adhesive that might be good for the purpose, or should I use small screws to attach?

Thanks.....Roger

I use 3M VHB Tape, excellent adhesion and comes in different thickness. The 55 Chevy front fender trim on my TD ( see signature photo) is “c” shaped so I used pvc bathroom trim in the slot and then apply thicker VHB tape followed by some sealant. Works great where I butt my aluminum trim covered with an aluminum trim piece.
VHB = Very high bond.

VHB tape would work.

If you want to use screws, you should also use a good marine bedding compound like Sikaflex. You don't want water to eventually work it's way around the screws and into the wood.

Hadn't really thought about a tape.

The screw sealing issue is why I jumped on here and asked about adhesives. It'll be a lot of screws and time consuming to get it done on a 10-foot cabin.

Thanks, guys.....Roger
