Hi all:
Booked into Awenda provincial park (north of Barrie) for May 11 through 13 (Friday night and Saturday night), leaving Sunday (mother's day).
I'm in Wolf Campground site #227. Hope some of the Ontario (oops...Central Canada ;) ) group can make it

aawwww - that's the site I wanted!!!!???!!!
I'll check with my social convenor
I've had no luck trying to log onto the Tearjerkers (who warned them???)

Unfortunatly this is in the middle of Turkey season making me a very busy person and unable to close shop for a few days :( Patrick B

Glampergirl:
Glad you and mountainbiker can make it. One more and a pot luck get together on Saturday could be brewin'.

Jawbone...better hurry and commit, the spots are going fast!

Patrick...what the heck is turkey season, and what kind of shop do you have that caters to them?

wild turkey hunting season and I own an archery/hunting store.

They must be pretty tiny bows, or them turkeys would be dragging them on the ground all the time...

Set to see you in August for sure, maybe somewhere else over the summer.

Sandy

Just wondering if anyone else might be coming to Sandy's invite of Awenda Prov Park May 11&12 ... still spots available on Wolf camp ground last time I checked ... would be great to meet some of you in person! :)

The Sens are still in the playoffs and it's looking like the Rangers are getting an early end of season courtesy of Ottawa, I can't go. Sometimes I wish I were a Leafs or Habs fan. It would free my spring up more.

Jenn - I don't think we are in a radio free zone ... maybe the game will be carried on the radio (?) What could be nicer - camping, firelight and play by play of the nation's favourite game - just trying to help you think out of the box! :D
Maureen

I'm coming!!!! (Unless you don't want me to...) Is it too cold to bring the Kayak??

Hey all - I'm just 20 min south - come on down and catch the game at my place - John knows where I am!!
I'm still trying to get a wonky back fixed up
I don't dare try to move the Tear but I should pratice getting in and out, just to see how that works :worship:  :?

Hey, John! Nice to hear you are coming. It will be good to see you again! ... yes, definitely bring the kayak (maybe a toque and gloves for backup  ) Today feels like we've skipped summer entirely and gone back to late fall weather ... but we still have 3 weeks for mother nature to warm back up again.

Jawbone - sorry to hear that you are suffering back pains. It does make it a challenge getting in and out of the teardrop - one of the reasons MountainBiker decided we needed to change to the A-liner.

Anyone else out there willing to join us?

Hey glampergirl...don't fall for Jawbone's "wonky back" line. He's just trying to get someone to carry his firewood in for him.

Jawbone...think you can pop over for dinner on saturday? You and Brenda are always welcome, even if you aren't camping.
Hope the back feels better, I know they can be a real bi**h to get rid of. Any news on the musical front? Still playing?

Sandy

Glampergirl - Don't listen to Sandy - I am always carrying wood
but I would like someone to help me get out of the Tear!!!!! :worship: :worship:
Princess Rolling Eyes and I will definately pop up on Sat. Nite if we are not busy with Birthday Parties!!
That weekend has a bunch all at one time!!!

 Oh my!

Sandy and John - with at least 4 of us there, should we aim for an impromptu dinner or dessert on the Saturday night?
Jawbone - hope to meet up with you too if it works out between the parties.

Anyone else out there??? Come on, get out there! Start the season at Awenda with us. Get together and share some stories, and show off your trailer!

Maureen

Hi Glampergirl.
Dinner get together on Saturday sounds like a plan.
John: have you booked a site yet? Bring the kayak...calm waters on Kettle's lake from the reports I've read. (and judging by today's weather, better bring the mittens too)
Jawbone: Now I know why your wife is always rolling her eyes. (carrying wood indeed).
See you there

Sandy

Hey Sandy - Boy, did Brenda ever get excited last fall when I told her "I had enough wood for the whole winter" :FNP
Her face really dropped when she spotted the chainsaw and realized she may have misunderstood

If the weather looks decent we are going to try to get out - I'm not ashamed to admit that I am a fair weather camper!!!!
