I was given an old one that had been abused. While cleaning it up discovered paint in it. So I plan on giving it back, it can be used as a planter for flowers for all I care. Once lead or paint has been put in a pot I consider them off limits. This is my only hesitation of buying something used. You never know what some people who had these things did with them.
