Apologies if as I imagine this is a FAQ, but I tried searching city water and shore water and mostly got for sale posts.

I am building a foamie and am thinking mostly about boondocking but occasionally will be camping at camp sites that may have water. How do you make the connection into an existing 15gal tank->12vpump->Concentrator->sink/shower line. I could just top up the 15 gal tank everytime I see it get low, but maybe I just need to build a bypass and if so, where.

TIA

On larger campers, with an internal tank and pump, the city supply is introduced downstream of the pump output. That's possible, because the pump has an internal check valve that prevents bleed-back, thus holding pressure in the system until a valve is opened somewhere. It also works at keeping the city system pressure from filling your tank backwards through the pump.
My suggestion would be to follow that example. "T" into the system after the pump output, and as long as you have the proper pump, there should be no problems.

I can't speak to the product itself, but it seems to meet the specs and in particular it states this:
  • Check Valve: (1-Way Operation) Prevents Reverse Flow
If a pump didn't have a check valve built in, you can add one downstream of the pump and upstream of the Tee, in case you go a different route or anybody else stumbles on this post.

YUP!! That pump is the typical pump in bigger campers. Almost exactly what was in my 24' bumper tow, and the 27' fifth wheel I had for a few years.
Now.....you WILL need to take precautions during freezing weather.
