These hutches have a a lot of advantages. They are strong, weather proof and have doors and windows built in. They also have adjustable ventilation. The size is about what the current designs showing, about 7ft long x 4 ft wide x 4ft high. They would need some modifications / additions such as a floor, shelves, window glazing and removal of feeding stations etc. Just something to think about.

Those look nice! You'd want to add the solid door and probably some weather strips on the hatches, etc.

Not to change the subject, but I see a possibility for trailer usage here! Being a cityboy all my life, I never heard of or saw any mention of calf-hutches before; now that I have seen one,

I think that one might be used to make a modular trailer, especially if fitted to one of schaney's modular trailer tubs.

Could be weather-tite, and removable if not needed. Better than a tent, anyhow.

Didn't one of our members put one of these on a trailer? Maybe it was something similar, but I'm pretty sure I saw it around here somewhere.

I believe they have potential and I am still looking at other ideas and plans. Mike did a good job starting this up. Lets keep the comments and Ideas coming. This is a chance to do some good work and help many people.
