Cross Bow / trolley / renamed little blue trolley

We designed the galley last after building most of the rest of the tear. I can't recommend doing that, the wall hard points weren't necessarily in the best locations (we made our best guesses) and we had a definite depth limit by then.

We had toyed with the idea of building our own cooler that would fit in the galley, but decided it would be better to keep it in the truck anyway. That way an ambitious bear wouldn't be going after our sleeping space at night, and we have cold food while we are away from the tear exploring during the day.

We also decided to keep most of the food that we do store in the galley in plastic bins behind the drawers so we can take them out and put them in the truck or bear boxes when in bear country. An alternative is to take all the food in the truck (we've done it both ways).

Maybe there are some ideas in there you can use. Good luck with your design!

I keep most my food in the tow vehicle and that works well for me. I do keep some dry food in the cabin and would have to go through that if I were camping in bear country but that's not a big deal. Plastic bins and totes are good for that. You're doing it right! Something that I have found is that keeping the ice chest in the cabin area at night seems to lower the temperature of the cabin by 4 to 5 degrees. That might be good in warm weather but not in cooler nights.
