I am wanting to build a Foamy that is light and not too wide, about 33 inch wide. It will be just for me for road trips. I will be towing it with a Suzuki Burgman 650 scooter, wet weight of 580 pounds plus my 215. Top speeds will be maybe 80 MPH when passing. Its wind footprint from the front fits almost fully behind my scooter with its side cases on.
For the suspension I am picking up an abused Bushtec trailer with the air ride system. It unbolts from the fiberglass body that got trashed some.
I will have a roof mounted Solar panel that can detach and put in series with another one in the cargo bin under the body. Have a 314Ah LipoFo4 battery so I can have my CPAP and a few other things for Boondock camping as needed when I can not get shore power.
I have over 50 years of motorcycling and many many miles pulling a camp trailer behind my Honda GL1100i in Germany and USA
