Well here goes the first post in what will be our CT conversion story.

The base is a Lark 6 x 12 foot SA, 6.5 ft high with a deep vee front. It will be coming with barn doors at the rear and an RV door in the nose. It is not yet in our hands but the first component for the conversion is.

I'm going to see if I am forum literate and post an image I uploaded to the gallery here. ;)

That is a 48 x 27 (RO measurements) RV egress window; horizontal slider with screen.

Whoo-hoo, it worked!!

30 days is an optimistic view in that (1) it is cold outside and the garage door is not tall enough to get inside, and (2) I do have to work Tues - Fri until Noon. ;)

However, that said I have nothing else I need to work on, or at least nothing else that has any priority.

We ordered it with framing for the window included. Hope their tape measure is the same as mine.

I love it when parts come in!! :delivery:  I just get antsy having to wait to install them.

Good choice MtnDon! You'll love it.

Nice, big window! Looks like it opens as an escape hatch too. (Easy to just open and vent the whole trailer on a hot day---not just the slider, but the whole thing.)

 Prem

I made a dolly to make shifting out trailers around a little easier. For use on the level areas only.. Steel is from the odds 'n' ends pile. New wheels/tires.

Works good on the utility trailers.

Nice!

is the trailer gonna be candy apple red

No. But we do like red. :D :D It will come in some shade of white like most CT's.

Sooner or later there will be some graphic design. Probably not a canned stick on graphic but something painted on.

Not sure what for certain, but I have some thoughts clanking around my head. When we get it I plan on photographing and then play around in Photoshop or some other edit / paint program.

I know, I was being somewhat facetious. ;)

I refuse to be in that situation where I need a scooter.

More parts: I got a roll of butyl rubber tape to seal the window in place.
