Like I was saying, it seems that you never stop working on these things. Came into a little extra cash and decided to make some improvements that I’ve been thinking about for a while. First, removed the ice chest and installed a 12 volt powered cooler - Truckfridge TB51A. That meant that I had to add a new electrical circuit and rebuild the drawer face since the size of the new cooler is taller than the old ice chest. I also added a 12V muffin fan in the back of the cooler drawer to help draw the air across the compressor. The fan is on a switch, so I don’t have to use it all of the time. (A fan made a huge difference in my old Scamp trailer that I had years ago.) The added demands from the cooler required an upgrade for the electrical system, so I upgraded to a 100Ah lithium battery and added a second 100W solar panel on the roof. Of-course, Renogy’s new 100W panel is a different size than my older Renogy 100W panel, so had to completely reconfigure the mounting system on my roof.
Cooler installed in pullout drawer.
3D printed the round vent hole to aid with air flow. Also added a fixed caster to help support the weight of the cooler when the drawer is extended.
