My name's Paul, and I finally got a teardrop (ok, I got it this past September). I've slept in it about eight night or so so far.

I had it built by Timberleaf in CO. It is a 2025 Pika model with pretty much all the options. I plan on using it for overlanding pulled behind my 23 JLU Willys XR 2.0T.

This summer the plan is to drive the Alaska Highway up to Fairbanks, then the Dalton Highway to Prudhoe Bay. And back home to SW WA a different way towards Vancouver BC.

Paul, congratulations! My Pika should be complete in a little over 3 weeks, and it appears we are going to be almost twins. I opted for the white logo and silver trim. I also deleted the sun roof.

I went back and forth a little bit with the sunroof. In the end I went with it, and glad I did. It comes with a shade you can pull down to block some of the light. I thought it would be too dark inside without it.

Mine also has the off-road suspension with 33" (285.70.17") tire. I went a little bigger on the tires then what comes on the Pika's off-road package.

You'll love your Pika. I hope you have lots of adventures with it. Post a picture when you get it.

One note when you pick it up. Make sure the trailer brakes are adjusted. Mine were way out of adjustment when I got it so that the shoes weren't making contact. I was able to adjust them/tighten them myself, but it would be nice if they were good-to-go from day one.

I am not a proponent of sunroofs/skylights, because of leak concerns, and it saved $500 to use on other options.

I used to purchase the Au-Tow-Brake that probably wasn’t an option when you took delivery. My F350 does have a controller, and the Ranger doesn’t. The trailer-centric option should be fine on the Ranger, and it is disabled when a truck with controller is towing. Your tip on ensuring the brakes are properly adjusted is much appreciated.

I stayed with the 31” tires on the Offroad package. I doubt I will fully exercise the offroad ability, but there are a few places I fish or bird hunt that will benefit from the extra clearance.
