I'm saving liquid laundry detergent bottles because the opening is large. I used these when I camped this summer but could my wife use this? She is very willing to go in the woods but this has to happen in a campground.

Tom, get her a "Go-Girl". I bought a couple of these a few years back to use when I have to make a rest-area bathroom stop. It is very useful and will let ladies pee standing up and not sitting on a questionable toilet, or in the woods. And, you don't have to expose much at all. I can't remember what I paid but I think it was about $10 each.

 Yes women can use them. If you get the cheaper detergent, small bottles the spout pulls out. Free urinal! I have even used them for children.

Yes, I pulled out the pour spout so the opening is large. My wife has not tried it yet, I'm not sure I've even suggested using the bottle. I used one at a primitive camp site with friends. It was great in the middle of the night and great in the morning (the porta-potty was far away). The volume of the bottle is welcome also. :)

I think it's a riot that this thread is still "going" since 2009. [emoji1]

I know T ! I guess we all like to talk crap sometimes!

I much prefer the ridge plastic Pstyle type of UD. The flexible silicone ones are nice and discreet as far as small size, but too prone to collapse. They are also harder to use discreetly in the woods or on the trail.

The harder plastic ones make moving of clothing very simple. Hope that makes sense.

I absolutely love the fact that this thread is still going after all these years! [emoji23]

I received the Chinese Go-Girl knock off this week. Looks identical as far as I can tell. The call it the "P EZ Travel Urinal." My wife and daughter are so far refusing to try it. We shall see. But for 99 cents you can buy 10 for the price of a Go-Girl and stash one everywhere.

Over a decade later, and I'm reading this with great amusement. I've been trying to figure out how to manage the bathroom question, and I'm grateful for all of your experience and wisdom. Public restrooms are even less appealing than they were before the plague, so I'm thrilled to see so many options available. Plus, who couldn't use some extra hilarity in their lives these days?!

Thank you everyone for the ideas and the humor for one of the most important of camping subjects.
Middle of the night and 1/4 mile from the public restrooms.

New video on how to Pee and Poo in the wilderness! It's meant for women but men could use a part of it if they hung over far enough:

Anyway, it's kind of entertaining. The spokesperson seems just a tad wacko, which makes it even more interesting. Let's see what you think!

Hi Y'all,
This thread is hilarious. I camp in tents for now, but my hubby has to make a spot for my Thetford Porta Potti in out TD we are going to build.
After the night incident up at Niagra a few years back when we camped there. we decided it was needed. for my safety, and if I am to continue enjoying camping.
