Just trying to clear the cobwebs out of our regions thread.

We are starting our journey into tiny trailers. Hoping to find a good deal nearby but also gather the as much info as I can on the build process

Welcome to the trail, the coffee's always on in this camp.

Greetings, polymangler!

It's been quiet on this chapter's forum for quite some time. Our Director, Thomas, is MIA. I've proposed a move to put his picture on the back of a can of Coleman lantern/stove fuel with the caption "Have you seen me?"

Welcome. I'm guilty of straying from SCT Tears. I've been dealing with two parents with Dementia. One has died, but I still have one to manage. I haven't had a vacation in years.

I don't have a TD right now now, but I'm feeing an itch. I am too old to build another one, so I'll buy something.

Keep posting, even if it seems pointless.

We once had over 80 TDs at a gathering, with over 200 people. If SCT Tears can get to ten CDs with 20 people, that would be great.

Take the lead.

As I mentioned in another thread, I have his phone number, and will try to reach him.

I'm new here. I stumbled across this site while looking for teardrop gatherings. I bought a home built teardrop style camper that was built by a retired carpenter in Illinois. I was told he built it for his daughter but her life plans changed and didn't want it anymore. I now have the honor of owning it. My son and I are looking forward to many trips ahead!

from another thread, dated 11-25-2025:

The old South Central group that Thomas was in, basically fragmented as people died, retired from camping (like me), or drifted away to solo camping in their larger-than-teardrop campers. I guess South Central Group still exists, but Thomas formed a new group (the last I heard), that was called the Beyond South Central Group, if that helps. The last time I camped with Thomas was probably four years ago, at Lake Murray???
