Hello, just starting my second build!

Good morning, It has been a long times since I have been on a forum but I ran across this one and thought I liked the idea of documenting my build in a build thread like I did with an old motorcycle long ago.



Images of my first build - a 5x10 teardrop, I copied the design of the Timberleaf campers.

It was about 2017 when I built this camper, since I built it and we traveled and camped, we started a family (2 daughters, 2 dogs) and decided to start renting it out during COVID. I ended up selling it to the last person who rented it from me.

Anyway, I really wanted to make the account to start a build thread of my 2nd build which I am in the planning process.

How was the process of renting it out, did your insurance give you any grief? (or was it a "don't ask, don't tell" affair)

We used RVshare.com and they have their own insurance. I am in North Dakota and our trailer laws are pretty reserved. I applied for a VIN, after that I just put liability insurance on it. RVShare.com did provide insurance. We made good money during COVID with renting it out. More than paid for all the supplied I bought to build it for sure. I think we were able to rent often because you could tow it with a car or truck. A lot more people had access to it.
