Hello Vernon. My name is Mark and I too live in the house of mouse.

That's an impressive build you have there. Every detail seems to be very meticulously planned out.

I saw your other post about looking for help on the soft start installation. Smart to look for help. AC capacitors can be dangerous. I only no enough to fear them.

If you are seeing an inrush motor current spike that your inverter can't handle I'd suggest a plug in soft start. But those are crazy expensive! You probably already know that.

I too sometimes see a huge current spike that causes my inverter to shut down momentarily with my little window AC. Only when compressor kicks in after the unit is hot and I'm forcing it to restart. More of nuisance/curiosity rather than a problem.

Hope get the help you are looking for. Good luck on your build.
Please keep posting pictures.

Mark.

Hi Mark nice to meet you.. and a local too. That's great!

I know all about things being expensive, I am about $30,000 into this thing and I have only been building this since 01 June.. of course there was about 3 weeks where I sat in the middle of the floor with my hands on my head wondering what the heck did I get myself into lol

There is no hard start. There is no pulse or surge. I read that it is recommended to install one when you are using it on your solar array. It will stop any pulses or large power pulls.

I have 800W of solar with 600AH of batteries.. but I have the ac, a roof fan, a wall fan, fridge, hot water tank, Micro/air fryer/convection thingy and enough lights to land a 747. So I need that much power lol

If you would ever like to see it, please let me know. I rent a spot at a boat shop in Orange, off Katella and Main, to build this thing. I am usually here after 5 every night and all day on Sundays.. I'd love to show it off and listen to advice, comments or criticism lol

Hello Vernon,

It was good to meet with you too. Thanks for inviting me.

I was quite impressed by your craftmanship and ingenuity. I still can't believe the amount of progress you made in such a short period of time.

Keep posting the pictures progress. Very interested to see how the decals turn out.

Mark
