Actually Friz, do those wheels and tires make the trailer "legal" for highway speeds or only make you comfortable? The NT 45 mph limit is kind of a bugaboo, and I don't know the basis for it.
liability they're figuring you're at a full load .trailer tires have a thicker sidewall so they run hotterQueticoBill":3bbbci0g said:The NT 45 mph limit is kind of a bugaboo, and I don't know the basis for it.
For one, I modified the kit. Two, changed the tires to an 'M' rated tire. 81mph. Three, technically illegal when ever I tow it because it obscures my tag on the car. Grey areas everywhere. It would probably just take one cop with a hard on for me and the whole mess would be impounded. Thats the world we live in. Always have a sharp lawyer on retainer if you want to be treated fairly.QueticoBill":345dhe4s said:Actually Friz, do those wheels and tires make the trailer "legal" for highway speeds or only make you comfortable? They do fine. Seem to wear a little better then the bias plys. I pulled at interstate speeds with bias plys also. Never had an issue.QueticoBill":1xxdl3uh said:Ignoring laws an liability, the radial trailer tires make you comfortable? And of course now experience.
I like the plan. Just wish I could add brakes.
