High Desert of eastern NM

The outside width of the “box” is 57”, inside is ~55”

A full 5’ wide would have been nice, but I thought that I wouldn’t be able to see very well from the tv mirrors.

Turns out, it would have been just fine.

So I missed that😓

However I do like how the wheels “ track” , the tv

So win some, lose some 🧐

I deleted photo, as license plate was not blacked out, see next post.

Engle refrigerator👍👍👍👍
Works great, it will freeze.
However, I did break a tray, due to having it loaded while in transit 😡

I can’t remember if it was a pickle jar or what.

So I do think it’s best to not load the trays, with hard items.

That mistake was $35.00😓

The unit consumes ~ 35 watts, the flexible Renogy panel is a 50 watt, so in the sun, the panel exceeds consumption of the frig

I did try the partner stove , that Tony was pushing.
But I sent it back, I really can’t remember why, perhaps it was I wanted the stove, oven combo.

It is nice, as you’re cooking, you can put the “done stuff “ in the oven, to keep it warm.

The partner stove peeps were very nice about the return 😍

Most of the hardwood is Eastern Red Birch, it has a maple grain, an a cherry color and is quite hard.

There’s some oak at the hatch hinge

The drawer sides, I used the scrap 0.40 aluminum and “broke” the sides double thickness.

Almost no waste in the thickness of the drawer sides double.

An aluminum bottom, and 1/8th birch ply, riveted together including the drawer slides

On the electronic side

A boondocker, they were nice people too👍
And disconnect’s for the solar and battery and of course the fuse box.

The “shunt” , at about 10:00 from the solar disconnect, I had to get help from an older electrician friend to help do that, some wires started smoking, 😡😡🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️I took that as a NEED HELP

I can’t remember what the shunt even is need for, but I’ve got one😃

In the cabin, above the “headboard “ I’ve a little ventilated shelf, where I put glasses, billfold and other stuff I may need in a jiffy, with out having a great search.

I really like this shelf, made from left over 1/8” ply and some 1/4”, with some pine blocks.

It’s now “patented “ 🤓🤓🤓

However, I will allow you to duplicate it, if you’re nice.

I did have hatch strut problems 😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬

But it did finish nicely and very sturdy.

The McMaster Carr group are also very fine people 🙂🙂😍👍👍

Fwi all , most, fasteners are stainless .
You will need to predrill, and in some cases, if It’s a removable part, I put a little silicone grease on the threads.

Stainless is softer than you think.

The grid closest to edge of the galvanized counter top, was to have a 5-gallon square water jug, to keep it in place during transit.

It really doesn’t work that well, even with a bungee strap😡 perhaps two bungees, or a ratchet strap would be best. You can see little stainless d-rings at the ends.

One bump in the road sends it airborne 😡😡

The grid then stores above the renogy control, and the level bubble.

It does work best for light weight things, as long as you tye it down.
