Why wait till spring ? I have found a lot of nice pieces at these mom and pop indoor flea markets at give away prices.

If you are looking for a special piece shopgoodwill.com has some nice old stuff at good prices but shipping does add up.

Thanks Bob. Have seen that site before and forgot about it. Will take a gander at it again.
Back here, no one seems to have yard or garage sales in this cold weather. And I do not have any enclosed flea markets around. But now that you mention it, I will keep an eye out for them as I travel around.
