And you think you got trouble in a campground???,We have er,,had reservations at a small campground up near Asheville NC in mid Oct,,with all the rain and flooding I thought I better make a call since its right on the Pidgon River,,Oh by the way its Called Earthbound Lodging campground) check it out,,,anyway the owner said when Francis came thru they had to move campers and their rigs to high ground in a neighbors pasture,,,the site is just off the Blueridge Parkway which washed out partially,,,their entrance road is gone,,not just damaged but gone,,in and out is by a tricky 4wheeler ride,,,they are hoping to get it back in shape soon,,bulldozier is there and they are starting to cut another access road into the grounds,,,sure would be tough to go camping and then get rained out then have your road washed out so you couldnt get back to civilization,,,they got it pretty tough up ther in them thar hills,,,thought it was interesting so I am passing it along

Hey Chip,
With all the hurricanes that hit us in Florida and the ones that have not come this way yet, I am going to take my que from the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I am installing retractable wings and a propeller with some form of floatation with some from outboard motor for waterway navigation with the ability to fly over obstacles in the way. Nobody is going to stop me from camping.(Except the wife0

The parking lot in my neighborhood flooded and my car had an inch of water on the floors.... that was fun. I'm in PA so we just had the leftover affects of Ivan.

They were saying in the news that the Ghost of Ivan has crossed back over florida and now it in the Gulf of Mexico again.
