Progressive just canceled my CTC insurance policy after reviewing the photos. Reason listed is unacceptable body style. So I think they were expecting a regular camper trailer.

Anyone have insurance plans they can recommend for a CTC?

TIA

Cargo Trailer Conversion I assume?

I'm not one to get insurance on a trailer so I don't have much comment.

But if a company cancels on you.. I'd cancel any other policy I had with them.

A vehicle policy covers it while its attached so I haven't looked for one myself...

I'd bet that if he has Progressive vehicle insurance, they won't cover that trailer under ANY circumstances, even if it is being pulled by an insured vehicle. They know about it now, and have decided they want nothing to do with it.

Yes a cargo conversion. I would not insure but the storage place wanted insurance. Really only to cover them. One more reason I want. To move out of my HOA.

They cover my cargo conversion.
It's basically insured like a contractor/construction trailer and the value of the tools inside.
1.) Value of the trailer itself 5k
2.) Cargo/tools inside. 2k

in 2007 Stat e Farm let me insure for $15.
my new build 2024 State Farm said they could not but my SUV insurance covered it!
I think this time around so many homeless are living in trailers makers it harder for a home made trailer to be insured.
You might ask them what trailers they do insure or what you need to change to insure it.

People gotta stop using the words "homemade or homebuilt" when dealing with government DMV or insurance.
All they need to know is year, make, model or VIN. It really messes things up when you are trying to do basic things like registering / insurance .
Mine is registered & insured as a cargo trailer not RV or homebuilt conversion.
My teardrop was R&I like a small utility trailer as well.

Think of them as the (trailer nat zy's). 😉
State your year, make, model. Step to the left........Next !!!

I’ll try that next. Just sure the insurance will find a way to be shifty.
But a CTC is one fifth the cost of a vendor sold conversion so even in wort case I’m still ahead
