Irrelevant Factoids

My kids are well aware that they must never use that "OK Boomer" BS on me.
It's as insulting as they can get...

I get it Mick.

My kids, 30, 33 and 35, all know how fortunate they are. They didn't get their down payments from us but they were put in a position to save their own with our sweat and tears and college support. It's kind of a "term of endearment" with us. Most of the time I get that response when I'm teasing them so maybe an appropriate response from them. I don't take it as a form of disrespect but can see how it might be in certain circumstances.

Modern cell phones cannot survive the regular cycle of a modern washing machine, but modern car keys can.

Irrelevant factoids...?

Some presumably grown men ran around chasing an oddly-shaped leather ball on a very large green carpet Sunday and whilst they were taking a break some other (again... presumably) grown individuals did what many might call singing.

And yet,,,,,,,,when I re-watched Eminem's performance I noticed the volume of his voice didn't reduce when his mic was down around his crotch, leading me to ask, was there even any of what some might call singing at half time?

HotRod Blagojevich, former governor of Illinois, was once… a shoe shine boy.

Is this the deep and authoritative voice of experience talking? :R

Two scientifically conducted studies on two separate occasions. In some circles I believe the term would be "untrainable". :NC

Southwire liquidtight NM straight PVC conduit fitting connectors and Carlon's version look nearly identical, but the Southwire version is much nicer to work with. The PVC goes on easier and the threads work much smoother.

Home Depot advertises Southwire, but you may end up having Carlon at your local store. :x

Wondering what out of shape would be

The Chinese stock market fell badly today: "Zhong Shanshan, known as China’s king of bottled water, led the plunge as his fortune fell by $5 billion"

Sure am glad I don't have 5 billion to lose that way. I think I'd feel just awful!

<crickets chirping>

Uhhmmm... isn't that something of an oxymoron, like:
almost exactly
Amtrak schedule
anxious patient
awfully good
boneless ribs
civil war
cold sweat
completely unfinished
crash landing
educated guess
even odds
fail safe
fast idle
guest host
head butt
honest politician
ill health
jumbo shrimp
low altitude
never again
once again
passive aggressive
press release
recent history
safety hazard
virtual reality
young adult
zero deficit... :NC

Well, I was hoping forum members with more than five billion to lose in the Chinese stock market would chime in with their opinions, but I suppose they're still thinking about it.

And tied him to a tree; apparently he was injured in a fall
