Awhile ago I stuck a panel of 1" polyethylene under the cargo trailer. The other regular insulation was falling apart.

Looking online it said using 100% silicone would glue it to the wood underneath.
FAIL. There's a brace in the frame that holds it in the center but the edges I glued have fallen down.

By accident at work I think I found a solution.

Using some osb similar to the trailer floor I glued 3 different pieces to see which holds up better. Left to right.
1. ) glued using our yellow contact adhesive
2.)black RTV/ silicone .
3.) Hot glue

Letting this dry and set up for 24hrs before we do the pull test.

Doing the pull test. The hot glue was the winner followed by the RTV/silicone.
Contact adhesive had some resistance but didn't stick to the foam as much.
Pic L to R
Contact adhesive, rtv/silicone, hot glue.

Only downside to hot glue is you have to work fast.
Guess we will see how it holds up to my abuse. 😉
