Need some advice on trim

So I'm in the final stages of building my squaredrop. For trim, I ordered the right angled trim for the top edge, and flat trim along the bottom where the camper meets the frame. Mine is flush with the frame and doesnt overlap. The trim for the top edges and vertical sides is fine, since I have an angled front. The issue I am having is the bottom trim isnt long enough. Its only 92". Even if I run the right angle trim down the sides first, its still too short to cover everything. Is it safe to just cut 2 pieces and butt join the bottom trim, or should I just rethink it and just use an 8ft piece of aluminum stock? All the trim I am referring too is the stuff that vintage technologies sells that uses the rubber insert to cover the screws.

The other question I have is how should I do the corners where the vertical and horizontal trim meet? Should I do 45's, or just butt up against the other piece? I want it to look good, and be as waterproof as possible.

If you butt it, butt the bottom edge to the vertical and run the vertical down to the bottom so the butt seam is oriented vertically. That way water and debris will tend to run down the butt line and out. Even if you caulk under and at the joint well, you still want gravity working in your favor.
