New Build - 6*12 Offroad Toy Hauler

flboy, Howdy;

Don, as usual, your covering the bases. One thing I'd suggest, perhaps you've already
thought about it. Instead of having the wire dangling why not incorporate your 4-pin
plug up near the mounting point? Dangling there it could be disabled by several things,
human being one.

Thanks Hank. Yes, I still need to install the connector. It will go upper left of the light bar. I am just waiting on a solar cable entry point which I will modify for that purpose.

At the end of the day, anyone can cut a cable on the camera or disconnect, but they will need to stand on the trailer tongue to do it. By that time, the Lexus alarm will likely go off. [emoji3]

Yea, snappin' teeth trumps ambitious wire cutters every time, chucklin'

Today, I received the solar cable entry ports for an RV Roof. Going screw on the 4 pin connector where the wire seal would go. I'll just drill a small hole in the front of the trailer and pass through the wires a few inches down from the roofline and just behind the camera on the left side of the light bar. My plan is to mount this on the vertical surface with the connector facing down. I think it will look good and seal well.

The part on the left is a spare. The ports came 2 in a box.

Just goes to show,, they're never done.. huh, Don
I like keeping up with y'all while I'm still working on trying to get started back on ours..
Almost ready.. have a couple things left to finish up in our new little shop..
Keep moving on Don,, and I'll keep dropping in on you to check progress..

Things I catch through your build helps prevent me from making mistakes from the go... :applause:

Great build flboy! Thanks for taking the time to document everything. Very helpful!

I'm in the research phase now to build something similar for dirt bike and MTB trips. Currently ride a 22' Husky TE250i for the tight woods and a 22 KTM 500xcf-w set up for dual sport. The TAT is on the bucket list.

BTW, I noticed your celsius to fahrenheit conversion note above your thermostat. A quick and easy way to convert it in your head is to double the celsius number and add 30 to it. Will get you within a degree or two of the fahrenheit number.

Look forward to following the rest of your build.

Thanks guys. Best of luck with your builds.

Enjoying some quality time in the CTC and riding my dirtbike. At an off highway vehicle type campground in Ocala NF. I have the place to myself. Really enjoying myself and Lexus is in heaven being off leash.

It was great when we did that last year,, no one else in the camp ground.. we were told to use any spot we wanted..
Enjoy it.. ;)
Around here in Central Tex where we live.. a lot of camp grounds are empty right now, even with the nice weather..
C.O.E. lakes are so low.. that some of the ones that have Marina's on them.. have boats sitting on the bottom of the lakes...
I haven't seen the lakes this low in 40 years..

Isn't that nice! Not sure where everyone is at, but I am fine with having the place to myself. I am leaving tomorrow AM. The weekend warriors will start coming in later tomorrow.

It is starting to warm up here. Almost summer like. A few hours of riding offroad in this heat puts the hurt on me!

Lex is even taking it easy at high noon! Sharing a few pics below.

I really like that swivel table. [emoji106]

Thanks. I had a fixed table there that was in the way all the time. I sawed off the leg and used it to attach this swivel table. I could not attach it to the wall for various reasons so this worked out the best. It pops right out when I need to put the bike in and swings away when the bed is deployed. It really is perfect for this small space.

Lexus is always looking for a good time. Obviously wants me to throw the Frisbee some.

Hi Hank, no I hadn't seen it but will check it out. Thanks. Lexus is a good camping companion. She runs security and cleaning up leftovers.
