new removable pod over utility trailer

Dan , The foam is homogenous , and you can just butt it together and glue it …

This looks to be an interesting project and I look forward to seeing its progression.

I liked those panels you linked to, I've just found Car Plan Superlight Panels, a SIP that may be ideal for the construction of a Slidavan.

Hi Guys,

instead of building the Pod I build a brand new lake front cottage 8)
Now the pod idea is coming back.

The idea is to use it as a snowmobile enclosed trailer in the winter and RC plane hauler in the summer.

Dimension would be 68 inc height 12 feet long in the vnose and 64 inch wide.
At 68inch height and 64 inch wide, do I need wood strip to reinforce it?
Note that I live in Quebec where there is a lot of snow in the winter, so the weight of the snow need to be considered.

Hello all

For the one that looked at my idea, I start the build thread. here
Multi-purpose Build started
Since the steel trailer that I did is already rusted I decided to do an aluminium trailer first.
Then I will do the Pod.

Question for the pod.
Since it will be used a lot for the snowmobile, I thought doing a pod without floor so that way, melted snow will evacuated through the utility trailer floor.
To attach the Pod I plan to run 4 bolt per side and one at the front through the aluminium channel that will secure a 2x2 at the base of the pod wall.

Any thought?

Thanks
