Plywood floor finish options for a 5x8 square drop

New member, I’m building a simple 5x8 square drop and am looking for ideas for finishing the plywood floor — sheet linoleum, peel and stick squares, rubber mat, epoxy paint, etc. Or, just leave it as is with a coat of polyurethane? It’s basically sleeping quarters only, not a show pony. Thanks in advance for any input.

I have a 60" x 80" piece of green indoor/outdoor carpet in mine. Keeps the air mattress from contacting the plywood floor, and offers a tiny bit of comfort to the bare feet.

No, it's not, so I can haul it out and clean it occasionally.

That makes good sense. Does it stay in place pretty well, on the floor?

Yes, it does. But I'm only in there to sleep, most times.

We used a product like this, can trim it to a perfect fit, tons of color options, comfy on knees, feet, adds a bit of insulation, Is cheap, easy to clean, water proof.

Two coats of poly and a mattress. Just make sure it's a damn fine mattress.

2 layers of polar seal 1 layer of closed cell foam and then rubber backed very short nap carpeting. We even winter camp and having waterproofing then insulation and an attractive floor treatment that can be removed to clean is a very very good thing.

Don't use the adhesive backed tiles without gluing them down like you would for non-adhesive backed. Heat of day and in storage will allow the tiles to buckle and lift otherwise. I stained and sealed my floor, but probably was overkill, since it will all be covered by the mattress and bedding anyway.
