Hi All,
I've been a lurker for the past few years as I've been starting my own teardrop build.
Last year I had created my wall frames and included a rough door way of 26"x36" based on a friends suggestion of using the Challenger 805 doors(which he had used for his build).
It's taken some time but I finally got my frames up on a trailer and started getting thing put together. I'm at the point where I need to order my doors and make sure they fit before proceeding.
With this in my I went to the Lippert website and looked up the challenger doors and was surprised to find that the doors where around $650 each(not including shipping)! I did some searching on the forum and saw a few older posts about challenger doors and vintage technologies but couldn't find any other sources for doors. Vintage Technologies has some door sets for somewhat less than the challenger doors ($474-$500 ea). I also found some on amazon for around $290(Amazon.com saw similar on eBay).
I trust Vintage technologies to have good products but I'm very tempted with the amazon door. Does any one have any experience with these and/or recommendations for other premade doors?
I'm ready to order my doors but would not like to break the bank if I can help it.

Let me know your thoughts

Thanks,

Oliver H.

I bought from Amazon 5 years ago. The brand was LeisureRV, I'd buy them again in an instant. Has integrated screen door and I think the challenger doors have a sharp lip along the threshold where these are flat so it makes it nice to sit in the door and comfortable to get in and out. Never a drop of water entry around it.

I was able to find those on amazon(at least the brand name), but currently only the passenger side is available in the 26"x36". I did some digging and it looks like Riverside laminations is now Patrick Laminations. They didn't list specifics on their site, but i may call and see if they have doors in my desired size available.

I did find this on ebay(RV Camper Driver Side Tear Drop Trailer Door 26" x 36" Entry Door W/ DOT | eBay) that looks almost exactly the same. The price is very enticing but with no reviews I'm somewhat hesitant to buy.

Did you find some doors?
