Compass Rose took her first steps today.

The young working stiff became Delivery Stiff tonight.

The stiff delivered some floor materials.

Tucked in again. Ready for more flying sawdust.

Nice way to build with a licensed trailer, no final inspection required in my state anyway . Danny
I'm still figuring out if I will HAVE to do anything further. Texas does has a Travel Trailer category, which also entails issuing a real title.

BTW, I like your door profile. Do you happen to remember the dimensions, radius, etc. for it?

:applause:  You are really going to have to mess that garage up some. Sooner or later there will be a messy garage contest and you gotta have a picture to win.

I'm working on it. There's sawdust all over right now. I'm ripping 2x4s to get some decent 2x2 floor frame members.

Check the sawdust mess below. Of course the kids thought it was great fun to play in.

A little sawdust from ripped 2x4s to start us off slowly this morning. Note floor framing taking shape.

The frame is complete, including foamed up Gorilla Glue.

The floor deck is appearing.

All decked out. Our next session will be to flip it over, and black goo it.

More sawdust. Laying sleepers on the floor is ok for occasional cutting, but not worth beans for using a handsaw.

The working stiff is also Scout Stiff. He needed to build some sawhorses to complete one of his badges.

Proof testing with dad, the Stiff and the Princess Helper.

Isn't it great when the kids help you build? I remember when my kids were small and helped me remodel the kitchen.......Great fun!!!

They love it! So do I. I grew up in my grandpa's auto shop, and cherish all the memories.

OMG!! That looks like my garage!!!
Seems like the only way to get anything done is to make a bigger mess!

Last look at the bare bones.

The working Stiff drills the holes for mounting bolts.

The pink stuff is fitted.

Black Goo (not gold Jed).

Some bald dude joined in the help the Working Stiff spread it.

I received the first female design input today.

My 4 year old daughter, the Princess Helper, decreed the Rose shall have curtains for the windows.

Thanks!

Pre-planning for bulky material purchase, transport and storage is starting to get really fun.

Almost time to start templates.

I have the profile drawn (parts swiped from Angib) and printed in both fun size and full size. Masonite is at the ready.

I think I'm gonna do the rounded door. I swiped that idea from the Generic Benroy. Thanks Mike.

The name kinda has me wondering.....this isn't gonna go the way of Rose Red is it?? Could be a little unnerving if it just keeps growing and is haunted.

The profile looks good.

But regarding the saw horses, isn't this what the scouts had in mind?

The profile looks good except for the hump on the rear top. You need to be sure water will run off the top or you will have to deal with "the lake" after you trim it.
