Is that the only thing you did? No stain? It looks GREAT! !! I would like to come by sometime you are putting a coat on if it is ok. I've never worked with this stuff. I work up in Frisco.

Nope, no stain. I had thoughts of possible varnish, but may go for a clear coat of some kind instead. We'll see.

I'm finished with the CPES for now, but will need to do the doors and roof skin sometime soon.

We started the day laying out wall guts. Only some, mainly to help give the walls a lip to sit on and the bulkhead framing to help square it all up.

First peek at the cabin. The two odd pieces are just right angles for square up. They will go away once the bulkhead is skinned on one side.

As soon as we awoke this morning, she asked to go play in our trailer.

Whaddayaknow, there is a limit to what a 5 gal bucket can do. I had the jacks ready to go anyway. A side benefit is being able to level the entire chassis before I started to really tie the structure togehter. No need building a wracked body.

The framing for the lower bulkhead was finished up. Side rails for the galley counter/cabin shelf were also installed. Note the Princess Decorator has been at it again.

Time to think pink before the second skin goes on.

HMMMM! I guess that answers the question as to why if my floor is square and my trailer is square.... why am I off by 1/8" from front to back?? I thought when people said "Keep the bubble level" I thought they were talking about setting up camp... not during the build. At least I'm not that far into construction that I can't correct. The five gallon buckets go, and I get some good jack stands and the 4' level comes out before I go any farther!!!

This evening we cut and test fit the galley counter/cabin shelf.

I honestly didn't expect much excitement or interest by folks DURING the build. Today, for the second day in a row, I had a neighbor stop by to what the fun was.

The Stiff is a slacker.

The Princess is lured as well.

We finished the roof spars last night.

The rough door framing was completed early today.

Trimmed up later on. Man, this router gadget is awesome.

The rear edge of the cabin wall is defined. Some blocking for a future (?) is put in place.

The Princess Helper lends a hand. Dunno why she felt the need to wear her robe. It's only 96 degrees outside.

I will finish the blocking at the top edges tonight for the interior wall skins.

Wiring is coming hard and fast. If'n ya' look really close at this picture, you can see the hole through the wall (!!!!) above the rear edge of the door for the porch light.

I plan to put a reading light and porch light switch at the hinge side of the door on each side as well. I made a trip to Camping World in Denton over the weekend, and found some basic 12V RV lights I will use, at least for now. I'm guessing the choice of interior lights is one of those never done items.

Well, we made holes in the walls

Then the 12V wiring was roughed-in for the cabin.

Next, we installed the wall insulation. The big Blue box didn't have a sheet of 3/4" rigid stuff, so I bought one extra of the closed cell polystyrene. Works OK but made a mess in the garage.

Finally, we wrap up the weekend with the Princess Helper showing that we are indeed building a Standie. OK, it's a Standie only as long as you are a 40" munchkin.
