Hello All!
I did copy my post from the TearJerker forum, just so I could make sure nothing was missed...

As has been announced, the Dam Gathering of the Tears has been disbanded. However! This leaves room for the First Annual Shasta Lake Gathering!

I have spoken to the Antler's Resort - they will continue the $11/trailer/night without hookups, $15/trailer/night with hookups as they have in the past. This rate is valid for Thursday April 28 - Sunday May 1. If you plan to attend, please let me know so we know to watch out for you! Reservations can be made with Antler's Resort by calling 800-234-3924 or emailing [email protected], or you can just roll in and we'll make room. Make sure you specify that you will be part of the Shasta Lake Gathering to get the special rate.

See ya'll in a couple months!

Lydia

Thanks Lydia,
I will call Antlers today. Let ya know when were in.

Lydia,
I'm sort of a newbie but did hit a couple of gatherings in Washington last summer. I plan to get out more next summer so I've booked for Shasta as a kickoff. BTW the lady I talked to there thinks you are doing a great job.

Hi Jim
Talked to Marrianne the other night, and we discussed the possibility of a hook up campout on the way down.
We did it last year, meeting in Oregon and had 6 TD's camping together on the Saturday & Sunday on our way down.
Even though there were just two of us carrying on to Antlers.
Was like a bonus Gathering.
We will keep you posted.

I'd be interested so let me know. By then I expect to be living in Ellensburg.

Just booked campsite # 59 - it will be a first gathering for us so looking forward to it.

PS could anyone explain the difference between TnTTT and Tearjerkers? I'm confused [emoji16]

I don't have a definitive answer but here goes. They are two bulletin boards with somewhat different purposes. Tnttt includes all varieties of small trailers and seems to focus more on building. Tearjerkers is a more formal organization with chapters all over and membership. It's focus is probably a bit more toward the actual camping and gatherings. In reality there seems to be a lot of overlap and probably most of us follow both.

I will give it a stab for you.
They are Separate, but Friendly, organizations that have similar formatted Forums that are linked to each other.
The Tnttt is more of a "building & technical" Forum ;whereas the Tear Jerkers is more of a "Camping" Forum.
The Tnttt has regional moderators and planned activities divided and organized by regions.
The Tear Jerkers is more of a "Club" concept with Chapters and Chapter Director promoting and implementing camping events and Gatherings.
Upon signing up for the Tear Jerkers you are automatically placed in the Chapter that is closest to your listed location.
As far as I can see.....they are both Free to join and provide valuable information on many levels. Thus, there is no harm in being a member of both!
The Tnttt is a more active Forum, but the Tear Jerkers seem to promote more events.
I Love them both! :wine:
And have met many new friends over the past 4 years from both Forums and related events! ;)
