Shasta Lake Gathering April 28-May1 2016

this would NOT be a drinking contest - It would/could be like the old Pepsi/Coke taste testing contests. Have the side by side taste test of the two. Just an idea!! Kind of like the 'apricot' cobbler cook off but with margarita's - Hey, that could be be a nice combination 'apricot cobbler with a margarita' ? May have to try that........

On the Chili note - Just doin potlucks. If you want to bring a vat of chili, more power to you! Might I also suggest bringing paper bowls too though...

Brian - I'm looking forward to your facial, too! You'll be BEAUTIMOUS!!!

OH so now they are Canadian Margaritas? though they was Montana Margaritas?? Must be a different variation - ??new version?? so in July at the Farm, does this mean there is going to be a runoff contest between the Canadian and the Montana Margaritas? (first it was the 'Brain and Dean Bean War')
Hi Ted
Here it is!
Since our first "Montana Margarita" just 8 short months ago, and the purchase of the "Binford Smoothie 600 Pro" in September. We have been working on perfecting the " Canadian Camping Margarita".
After "much" research.......and with only one week before we head south to the "Shasta Lake Gathering".
We put in one final night (until Sunday?) of R&D! And tonight, after 2 bottles of Tequila (different brands) and a couple of non bias researchers (complete with their own recipes) we have come up with the "Final Version"...........Perfect Recipe for the "Canadian Margarita", we have found the "4th" and "so very secret" ingredient, that sets ours apart from the crowd.
We will debut this "New Recipe" at the Shasta Lake Gathering! ;)
As mentioned bfore.........as Canadians, we are not familiar with the laws in Ca. .......that might limit the distribution of our "Canadian Margarita"
But, much like the "Mobile Taco Trucks" we have seen over the past 10 years.........we are confident that we can circumvent the "local liqueur laws" that will allow you to try this "unique taste experience" by you bringing your own "Tequila"????
We will be in site # 11 ;)
This year's Shasta Lake Gathering promises to be a lot of FUN!
"Life is only as good as you make it!"
Good Roads
Brian & Sandi

PS
We would like to Thank our TD friends for the " Binford Smoothie Pro 600" .....that we have faithfully kept lubricated & exercised, since it's acquisition!
It has already served in WA., OR., & ID. And will be on it's way to CA. in 7 days! :wine:

the "Binford Pro 600" may need it's own North American map eventually to show off it's travels for the future drinker's participating in it's tasty productions - you know it's own BADGE OF HONOR!! just an idea,

Maybe Tearjerkers Chapter decals from every "Chapter" who's members it has served??
Take note Jefferson State.........some of your members have already sipped from the Binford Smoothie Pro 600.
We will be waiting at Shasta. ;)
Brian

I like it !!! the little ones like we have on our windows could work!!! (could help it the future in keeping and protecting it from wear and tear also as it gets used more with age.)

A week to go and i'm sitting in LA.... Hey, I had to drive down to support the Giants! Driving north in the AM with only a week to help my sister get her rig together for the drive to Shasta. I only hope the Canadians appreciate us Californians using all our precious water to fill the lake just for their visit.[emoji12]

Margarita contest? Can I be a judge? Doesn't that mean I'll have to taste each of them?

Can't have just one Judge, so I'll be on hand to help out with the difficult task of...... drinking. :?  :wine:

Anybody got a weather forecast for next weekend yet?

<Chas>

We're in for mid 70's during the days and mid 50's at night with a dousing of great company and good food :D

We are on our way (almost there) and freezing our ???? off over on the east side of the mountains in Lakeview OR.
May come straight there as it is going down to 25 tonight.
Good Roads
Brian & Sandi
PS
Great excuse for everyone to give us a warm hug when we get there.

Not much warmer here in Grants Pass. Down to 38 last night. Put on another blanket ;-)

But the forecast for the weekend in Lakehead is high 40s and low 50s at night and 70s to 80s daytime.

There's just a bit of winter here right now.

<Chas>

:rainy: 50% chance of a thunderstorm on Wednesday.

After that, it's all good... :icedtea: Not too hot; not too cold.

My leave time has been filed and approved, I can't not wait to meet everyone of you and see all you work and wonderful ideas.
