I see a some folks putting side wall vents in their builds, some don't. What is the reasoning for them?

We didn't install any, relying instead on the windows in our doors. In windy rains that can be a problem. Teardrops need lots of ventilation, and sometimes I wish we'd figured out some side vents designed to prevent rain from blowing in.

Our roof mounted MaxxFan, with shroud (the ugly white thing you can see it in our picture) on the other hand, resists rain remarkably well. We need both that and at least one window, however, for good air flow.

I put small side vents on each side of the galley walls to equalize the air pressure while driving. It helps keep water from forcing its way past the seals and getting the galley wet.

I know some folks put them in the galley for ventilation for their inverters and/or electric coolers.

Uh...I meant on the side walls...at the rear...where the galley is. I haven't seen cabin/sleeping area vents used unless it was for A/C venting.
