Some may have noticed the hint I was giving in my sig, but it is now official. There is a Southern California chapter of TearJerkers. It has it's own group on the world wide web. You DO NOT have to own a Teardrop to be a member of this chapter, but it would be nice if you had plans for one in the future. Our SoCal chapter will be a meeting place to talk about local gatherings, caravans or just getting together for breakfast or a picnic. It is not meant to replace this great forum. It is not a 'build' group. Althought if you have a problem with your tear, we could maybe help solve your problem through friendly talk.

We need members to get this group going and with all the teardrops here in California, we could be the largest chapter in the TearJerkers network. So just click on the pic and be taken thru hyper space to the groups home page. And by all means, join. It doesn't cost a thing.
:)
P.S. Even 'Antique little Boys' are welcomed. ;)

Thanks for taking the lesd Gage I signed up a couple days ago .Ithen got a email from Todd saying I needed to join the national group to be a member of so-cal . I asked where I go to do this and received a message asking if I wanted to unregester now I'm thourally confused.

Gage

Tried to join but it would not except my sign on data, says it is already being used, it could be that I use Verizon as my server, I tried to use Scad-A-Bout that too was rejected, whats up?

Gage,
I signed up like I said I would. Had to make a yahoo account too, that's what takes longer. :?

The logo definately looks very So Cal.

Can't believe I actually got the signature part to work. Some of us are a little slower than others. Figured a good idea since all the new Jefferson State members are putting it in theirs.

Way to go, Gage! Good Luck with the new Chapter!

Do I see a Western States North-Meets-South TearJerkers Rally sometime in the future ... ... ...? Maybe in the Truckee/Tahoe/Markleeville area, for example ... just to start the gears a'turnin' ...

CHEERS!

Aw thanks a lot. That does sound good. Yep Truckee or even Lake Tahoe area. That's about half way. Maybe late summer, early fall before the snow. Or even mid summer when there is no other gatherings planned.

You know... If the Pacific Northwest starts a chapter, guess who'd be right in the middle?...

BTW- I think there's enough teardrops in Texas to start a Lone Star Chapter...

What would be the reason for a Pacific Northwest chapter?
We already have a very active TOW (Teardroppers Of Oregon & Washington) :applause: Danny

Danny being nation wide there would be more info on our interests in teardropping. I don't know if the TOW chapter only does Pacific Southwest stuff or nation wide but nation wide club would have more info.
Just my two cents.
I don't like clubs so I'm not a member of any club, just my choice.

I love the idea of north vs south western style. Already mentioned it on the directors board of tearjerkers. it is growing so fast here in the west that we need a "group" gathering.
Eunice

btw THIS IS SO FUN!

Dan,
You'd be located in the Central California Chapter...
Oh wait... That's IDOS. (Dutch ovens)
I'd say neither, but you can join both of them if you want.
****... Heikki is a member of Jefferson State.

Help! Is Manteca part of the Jefferson State Chapter or is it So-Cal? :?
Dan, Seeings how the State of Jefferson claims the northern part of California, I would say if your below the state line your in Southern California. So come on into the So-Cal Chapter. I'm going to look into a chapter gathering up on hwy 49 sometime net year. I also have some other camp sites in mind on the western side of the Sierra's.

P.S. Then again you could belong to both chapters. :?

Dan, which way do you prefer to travel? North or South? Could make the choice that way. If you like to drive both ways, you could belong to both & have the best of both worlds.

California is funny in how it perceives things. People from true southern CA tend to see Santa Barbara - San Luis Obispo counties as central. True northern CA sees that area as southern & your area as central, but southern CA sees your area as more northern. :?
When my daughter went to UC Berkeley, that was considered there as NorCal & UCLA as SoCal. So I guess it all depends on how you want to perceive yourself.

Other than the SLO gathering, its all a long drive for us but going toward southern ca is the shorter distance but then going through LA can be a pain in the .....

Dan, I'm in the middle too. I think you are the nearest tear to me going north. The central part of the valley really doesn't have many tears. I'm certainly in northern CA but the Jefferson state area is far to the north. Can one be a member of both groups? I go to gatherings in both directions. Where ever I go, its a long drive.
