Solidworks CAD

Anyone have any experience with Solidworks 2006. Is it as good as it claims to be? Hard to learn? Easy to learn? Haven't installed it yet, just looking for opinions. Got any?

I've work with SolidWorks for some 7 years now. Self taught so I know anybody can learn it. Dealer in the northeast is solidvision.com. It sells for about 4k. Am still in the process of modeling my tear.

Ok Madjack I'll give it a try. Here is an overall of what I've got so far.
(larger view of my avatar). I'll upload some more to my album when I find some time. I already have changes as I just got some old Ford wire wheels with white wall tires I have to model and add.

I don't think they have a trail version. You can download some of their veiwers and such but not much else.

NiteTimes, I use Solidworks every day. It is fairly easy to learn and very user freindly as well. There are fundamentals such as basic three dimensional thinking that is needed to work any 3-D program, but it comes pretty fast once you get started.
I haven't loaded 2006 yet but the past ten years have shown great progress in the software. Good CPU speed, memory and video card helps the program perform better.
I built my teardrop in solidworks and it helped me think things through.

It is a great way to help design a TD. This is a small price to pay for development. Who knows what else it can be used for.

I might just buy a copy for myself. My Solidworks license is for my work computer.
