Southeast / NC Camping

Is there any kind of a calendar or schedule of events of gatherings for members in the South East? I don't currently have a TD but am interested in building or buying one but I want to get "touchy-feely" on one first. I thought an organized camp might be the best place to see the different designs, layouts and get some user feedback too.
