I'm at that point where I'm considering ordering the materials for my frame. I thought I would put my concept out there for a bit of feed back.
I'll be putting in leaf springs instead of the torsion axle.
The tubing is HSS 2"x1" @.125thk
It will weigh 170LBS minus the axle & springs.

What material section did you use on yours?

I use 1/8" x 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" boxed steel to build the 5 chassis that I have welded up.
It may look like an over kill to some but I don't have any issues and it tows great.
The tongue is missing in this photo as it's removable.
The rear tow bar is for our bike rack and the body of the teardrop overhangs the chassis about 6".
The two shiny things are for the batteries.
The small square tubing's on each side are side table mounts and the doubled up rectangular tubing is for jacking up the rear of the teardrop.
It has a Dexter torsion axle with brakes.
The spare tire mounts very similar to your photo.
