The deer are here this year!

Around the 4th of July is fawn time in Raton. These are the first from this year, two fawns & their mom.

We don't see the deer much in the summer here. They live on an island in the middle of the river then. But in the fall and especially when deer season starts, they come over here. I think they know no shooting is allowed near people's homes. Turkeys do that too.
